We want to challenge the notion of transformation as linear, by converging multiple screens within each other and creating new imagery from the ashes. We plan on using mirrors and projectors to fracture the images as well as microscopes to show the unseen in the everyday and mundane.
We want to use different media, digital, 16mm and 8mm and then create a convergence between the mediums using the projectors and mirrors. We want to use the different formats to show the transformation of cinema since its birth and use the convergence of the media to create something new. We want to choose specific imagery that relates to each other in each of the three projections, and by combining them using the mirrors create a new form of montage that will suggest the evolution of cinema. We want to experiment projecting the images through prisms in front of the projector.
