Fracturing – splitting/fragmentation/shatteringCause and effect – looking at the consequences of actions – Run Lola Run, look at others artists who use this concept in their workhow one decision can effect the lives of so many e.g. Brexit/Donald Trump election – find something contemporary in the media that effects many Or on a smaller scale, how your one change in decision (like run lola run) can effect others lives in different ways

Causality is what connects one process with another process or state, where the first is partly responsible for the second, and the second is partly dependent on the first. In general, a process has many causes, which are said to be causal factors for it, and all lie in its past.

Butterfly EffectThe butterfly effect is the observation that a seemingly trivial event can lead to a completely different set of outcomes such that a butterfly flapping its wings can theoretically transform the future. For example, a slippery spot on a soccer field could be the difference in a player’s stability during a shot that results in missing the net, losing a game and not winning the World Cup. This may influence an entire nation. In a world without the slippery spot, the goal might have been scored, the World Cup won and the spirits of a nation lifted. Examples like this can be taken extremely far whereby small seemingly meaningless events can theoretically result in a completely different future.Time’s arrow
Visuals – shattering of glass
Start with projecting onto something solid – slo-mo of hammer onto glass, when glass shatters the film starts projecting onto the mirrors so the imagery is scattered across the room like shattered glass
– overlay of the glass being shattered as ‘the bigger picture’ e.g. a news story – then when its fractured you see the effects of these actions – different outcomes/possibilities
